Q How do I sign up for Internet Banking and Bill Payment?

A  You can sign up for Personal Internet Banking in several ways: use the online Registration page, call Information Services at 620-663-0670, or you may sign up by stopping at any of our convenient locations where a Customer Service Representative will assist you.  You can register for Bill Payment during the online Internet Banking registration process, or by choosing the Bill Payment section after you have logged into Internet Banking.  For Business Online Banking / Cash Management, please visit a Customer Service Representative at any of our locations.

Q After I have signed up online for Bill Payment, how long does it take before I can start paying bills?
A After you have completed the Bill Pay registration form, an email will be sent to you within 3 business days to confirm your bill pay account.

Q How does bill payment work?
A To help you understand the process, we have provided a diagram.

Q How long does it take to set up a new payee in the bill payment system?
A Once you have entered a new payee into the Electronic Bill Payment System, it takes two business days to set up the payee to receive payments.

Q Even though it takes two business days to set up a new payee, can I still enter a bill payment to the new payee during those two business days?
A Yes. You may enter a payment to your new payee immediately; however, the payment will not actually be made until the payee is set up. Any payments made to the payee before the payee is added to the system will be delayed in reaching the payee by approximately two business days.

Q After I make a bill payment, how long does it take for the money to be debited from my account?
A The money will be debited electronically from your account within 1-3 business days starting on the business day following the payment date. If you make a payment on Monday, you can expect the money to be debited from your account by Wednesday or Thursday of the same week.

Q How long does it take for a payment to reach the payee?
A A payment that generates an ACH payment will credit the payee's account within 1-3 business days; whereas, a paper check may take up to 10 days.

Q How do I actually use the Online Bill Payment system?
A When using Online Bill Payment you can get step-by-step instructions by enabling the Novice Mode. If you need further assistance, use our  Contact Us form, or call an Information Services representative at 620-663-0670 or 866-808-1089.

Q What type of bills can I pay with Online Bill Payment, is it limited to businesses?
A You can pay almost anyone you want with Online Bill Payment, from the boy who mows your lawn, to credit card companies. You would simply need to add these to your list of Payees by completing the required information, entering a payment date and amount. However, you cannot use Online Bill Payment to make any government payments, the Internal Revenue Service or any court appointed payment, such as child support or alimony.
