Q How do I sign up for Internet Banking?
A To sign up for Internet Banking, simply use our online registration form or call our Information Services Department at 620-663-0670. You may also signup by, stopping at any of our convenient locations and our staff will help you complete the necessary steps.
Q How much does Internet Banking and Bill Payment cost?
A Internet Banking and Bill Payment are FREE to all Central Bank and Trust Co. consumer customers.
Q What hardware do I need?
A You will need a personal computer (either Windows-based or Macintosh) with a connection to the Internet.
Q What software do I need?
A You will need a current Internet browser capable of 128-bit encryption. At a minumum, you should have one of these Internet browser versions installed to access Internet banking and Bill Payment: Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox 5.0, Safari 5, or Google Chrome 12.
Q How do I select a password?
A When you register online you will be prompted to select your password. It must be 6 - 14 characters in length, with at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number. For your protection it is wise to not choose a password that is obvious to others. Choose a password that:
Is not in the dictionary
Does not contain any personal information, such as children's name, pet's name, important dates, or numbers
Does not contain a phrase with the spaces deleted such as "Letmein"
Is a word or a phrase of words and transform it, such as: photographic to f*+0Gr@f!k
Q How frequently is my Central Bank information updated?
A Internet Banking operates in a real-time environment. That means as soon as you complete a transaction (a withdrawal at a teller window, for example), the transaction will appear on your online information.
Q Can I look at all of my transactions at any time?
A Yes, with Internet Banking, you have access to your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Q Can I make a transfer between my accounts online?
A Yes! You can transfer funds between accounts established with identical tax ID numbers or social security numbers. You can transfer funds between deposit accounts and from deposit accounts to loan accounts. To perform transfers, simply specify the account you want the funds to come from and the account you want the funds to go to on the transfer screen. To post your transfer the same business day, transfers will need to be completed before 7:00 P.M. Central Time.
Q I'm still hesitant about banking online. Can other people see my account information?
A Your account information is just as secure as it is at your physical brick and mortar bank. We've taken every step possible to be sure our system meets the latest security standards, including using the latest security encryption methods and software. Q What is Enhanced Login Security?
A Enhanced Login Security technology protects your accounts from unauthorized access. It identifies you as the true "owner" of your accounts by recognizing not only your password but your computer as well. If we don't recognize your computer - you've logged in from a public computer or one you haven't used before- we'll ask you to answer your challenge questions as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access. With Enhanced Login Security, you'll be protected from whatever computer you're using, whether you're at home or on the go.
Q I have several accounts with Central Bank and Trust Co. How can I identify each account?
A Internet banking will have a defaulted description of your account types, such as Central Club or Central Savings. However, you can give your accounts nicknames, such as Vacation Account, by selecting User Options, then Change Account Nicknames.
Q Can I get my statement online?
A Yes! With Internet Banking you can receive your statements online. Just click Online Statements and fill out the registration form. Your next statement will come to you online instead of through the mail.
